The KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme conducts investigations or if you like you can use the word studies on malaria, why & where it occurs and the best ways of preventing it, in addition, we do studies on the most common childhood diseases, what causes these diseases and how best to prevent them and reduce the number of child deaths. Other studies that we are involved in are on social science, health systems and how they function in a bid to strengthen them, clinical and epidemiological research and vaccine research. Our research work is of international standards and many of our researchers have over the years won awards regionally and globally.
