Question: Barbers sterilize their shaving equipment using methylated spirit. Does it really kill HIV virus? If does not how does it help?

@ abbb348, sterilizing of shaving equipment is meant to kill any germs or bacteria especially fungus that can easily harm the skin. Methylated spirit is used to sterilize equipment even in hospitals yes and including at the barber shop. Viruses or any germs die immediately they come into contact with methylated spirit. Even before you get a prick at the hospital, the doctor or nurse will always sterilize the injection to ensure it is germ free before sticking it into your skin.
