The actual causes of most cancers are not known. All that scientist know is cells in the body begin to form abnormal cells that do not function normally, and tend to form undifferentiated cells when they should differentiate, or other abnormal types of growth. Not all abnormal growths are cancer, but some are because they do not stop and tend to spread.
For blood cancer, cells of the bone marrow or cells of thyroid gland or lymph nodes among other organs involved in blood formation are affected. This causes abnormalities in production of blood cells resulting in blood cancer.
